Memories are ever-shifting collages. Recollections are constantly bent out of shape, as fresh impressions and insights form new corridors along established patterns. Secret wormholes offer shortcuts to truth, dugouts plop into illuminated caverns. Even as spotlights shift, essential stories remain. Trauma and joy linger as the backbone to the crumbling letters.

This collection merges snapshots of the past to visualize these architectural constructs and breakdowns – the subtle changes in wallpaper patterns, the occasional sharp turns to the edge of an abyss. William Burroughs used cut-ups to “put you in touch with what you know and do not know that you know.” Here the collaging doesn’t cut, it blends, but the principle is similar, as the tone behind the components always rings through. The intermingling conjectures, observations and memories continue to shape the plot, if we can only remember where the story begins.
